You are one of God's chosen people. Picked out from all of creation to receive his love and attention. However there is no point being chosen if you do not stand out from the crowd. That is why God has a whole wardrobe of special things set aside for you.
Whereas other people who are trying to stand out might have special clothes. The Queen has her crown, emergency services have their uniform, and models have their designers creations. In all of these things there is something which makes them look unique from everyone else around them.
So what is in your wardrobe? What makes you stand out from the crowd as one of Gods chosen people? Well it isn't the clothes we wear so it must be something else. God's wardrobe is stocked full of five characteristics which help us be unique, special and distinctive without a designer label.
In order to stand out from the crowd we need to cover ourselves with five Godly characteristics. These are compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Once covered with these five things you are sure to stand out from the crowd, simply by the way you act and treat those around you. Most people are primarily interested in 'looking after number one' (themselves). As God's people our focus should be the other way around.
Trying to put on all five things in the wardrobe at once might seem quite daunting. So why not break it down a little, this week focus on each of these items separately. Then with God's help you will be able to combine these together to make the most distinctive outfit, that will definitely turn some heads! Have a great week.
